Feed the Dawgs
Rocky Mountain Dawgs Project, aka Feed the Dawgs II, is an extension of The Dawgs Project.
The Rocky Mountain Dawgs Project serves Military Working Dog Kennels of the United States Military from the Rocky Mountains to the east coast with the same misson as The Dawgs Project:
1. Provide barbecues to America's Front Line Defenders.
2. Preserve the heritage that is "K9"
3. Support the Military Working Dog Community at home and off shore.
The Feed the Dawgs Project (aka The Dawgs Project) was launched in the spring 2008 by two old Nam Vet dog handlers and a DaNang parachute packer. It all started at the PMO/IMEF Military Working Dog Kennels at Camp Pendleton' (now Camp Cann).
The Dawgs Project serves 22 Military Working Dog Kennels of the United States Military in the greater southwest. Additionally, the Project provides essential support for recognition/appreciation steak barbecues to numerous other Military Kennels elsewhere in the continental United States in conjunction with affiliated veterans groups who recognize the important contribution of Military Dog Teams.
Rocky Mountain Dawgs Project is an approved 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
Flex was David Sonka's MPC (multi-purpose canine) killed by an Afghanistan infiltrator into the Marine trainiee program on May 4th 2013.

Corporal David Michael Sonka (23), US Marine. David was killed along with his war dog Flex in Afghanistan. David was killed training the native Afgan police force. On May 4th, 2013 the Marines took off their armor to show solidarity and trust of the Afghan trainee force. An infiltrator took this opportunity to shoot and kill David and his MPC war dog Flex.
