Our Dawgs Family

The Man, The Myth, The Legend

Jon Hemp

Jon started The Dawgs Project - Feed The Dawgs in 2009, bringing together the K9 family of the past and present, while honoring those that are no longer with us.

Jon fully retired in 2018, but you can still find him at all of the events he's able to attend, giving sound advice, and always his candid humor. He is

The Dawgfather

Gold Star Father and Founder of RMPD

Kevin Sonka

After the unexpected loss of his son, Cpl. David Sonka in 2013, Kevin started the Rocky Mountain Dawgs Project in his memory (for more see "About Us" page). He and his family have worked tirelessly to Feed The Dawgs and honor our Fallen. As of January 1, 2021, Kevin has decided to spend more time with his family and handed it to the next generation in the Dawgs Family

On behalf of everyone in the Rocky Mountain Dawgs Project, we thank you for everything that you have done. We will always be Dawgs Family🐾
